MARRIAGE
It is always a joy to share in the commitment of a man and a woman to each other in marriage.
If you are thinking of getting married in church, our minister, Colin Smith, would be delighted to hear from you.
Marriage in church takes place within the belief that God delights in good relationships and in the commitments women and men make to each other.
If one or both of you has been married before (and your former husband or wife is still alive) Colin will be glad to talk to you about this. He does marry people who have been married but are now divorced.
Colin will normally meet a couple three times before a marriage and always offers a rehearsal before "the big day". He seeks to make the wedding a time when people can feel comfortable to share in this special day of commitment and new beginnings.
If possible, it is worth contacting Colin as early as possible after you have decided you want a church wedding.
The usual fee (including the services of the organist, the use of the church, and minister's fee) is around £200 to £230. Where this is a problem Colin will seek to lower the cost.
